Clinical experience of Cefmetazole sodium on infections in neurosurgical field

Abstract

|
|
Cefmetazole sodium is a cephamycin-group antibiotic and has a broad spectrum, strong bacteriostatic, and bactericidal actions, especially to cephalosporin and penicillin-resistant strains. Clinical trials for Cefmetazole sodium were performed on a total of 49 cases of various types of infection and excellent clinical result, ie, efficacy in 37 out of 49 cases evaluated (75. 5%) were obtained. We think that Cefmetazole sodium showed excellent effects on various types of infection incluing respiratory, urinary tract, wound infection and septicemia.
